Welcome to Endurance Health and Fitness!
Hi there! So, it is pretty hard to sum one’s life up in a few paragraphs but here it goes….
l first was introduced to Endurance Sports when I quit my waitressing job during University to volunteer at the 1993 IM Canada. Never would I have imagined the role that triathlon woud play in my life. The next year I raced it and well it has really just become a part of who I am!
I was able to race for 10 years, travel around the world, see amazing places, and meet new people and friends and experience a world that I never knew existed. I was able to find something that I loved and was good at and do it! Really how amazing is that!
Over my years of racing I won 3IM titles(and don’t ask me what one is my favourite – as they all hold a special place in my heart) and I finished a personal best 4th in IM Hawaii in 1998. I also DNF’d a couple times, came in 3rd, 10th, etc…..It was a great ride. I learned so much and I loved it!
Now I live in the beautiful Okanagan Valley in British Columbia Canada, with my husband and many falbs(fuzzy ass little buggers).
My goal for this website is to provide you, the athlete with resources and answers to some of the questions that may arise as you venture into the world of endurance events. I love the fact that people want to challenge themselves, go outside the box, see what is out there.
I also believe that BALANCE is very important.
It is my goal to use my expertise gathered from both personal experience and booksmarts to allow you, the athlete to be the best you can be. It is through this balance of art and science that I believe an athlete truly finds his/her greatness!
Endurance Health and Fitness offers coaching for Ironman distance, 1/2 Ironman distance, and Olympic distance triathlons in addition to Mtn biking, Run Training and Trail Running.
With a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition I am able to support athletes of all abilities in their Nutritional goals as they go after their physical goals.
